91 Points

Sunday, August 30, 2009 - 20% Tempranillo 60% Garnacha 20% Viura. Golden to light amber in color. Definitely not your typical rosé. The wine opened up as it got warmer (refrigerated) and as sat in the glass. Wine kept shifting but getting better throughout almost 1.5 hr. ?Maybe it needed air and decanting. Beautiful blended and intermixing layers of sherry-like nuts aromas, hints of cinnamon, ?clove, ripe strawberries and yellow cherries, slight earthiness, and minerals. Palate with very good acidity, tart strawberries and cherries, an earthy minerality with spices and a hint of pear. Finishes with grapefruit pith bitterness with a fading lingering of berries, earth, and minerals. Really good and interesting rosé. Actually goes pretty well with nuts. Definitely buy again. 12.5% abv
