Thursday, July 16, 2009 - Lunchtime surprise on the patio at work as a couple of fellow wine guys brought in a few bottles to drink on a hot summer day. For a Rosè of Pinot Noir, I was surprised at the color of this wine. Light Salmon orange color bordering on a sorta peach hue. Every other Pinot Noir rosè I have had has been much darker and much more red. The nose is very easily identified as Pinot Noir with it's cherry backbone of fruit which continues onto the palate as well. Very nice and very refreshing on a hot afternoon.
