Friday, April 3, 2015 - We decanted this magnum of 2002 DRC Montrachet for several hours, and the wine only gained in expressiveness, volume and purity during that time. A stunning bouquet of pear, green apple, preserved peach, tangerine oil and other citrus fruits, inflected with botrytis, bursts from the glass, followed by a palate impression of incredible intensity, searing minerality, and amazing volume. Broad and glossy but in no way corpulent, this is a unique white wine.
