Sunday, May 15, 2011 - Burnt toast aromas, something vegetal in there too. A little butter, and a lot of minerality. Citrus fruits on the palate, very rounded, quite smooth. Oaky. But nice zingy acidity to it, at least through the mid palate. No mistaking this is a chard alright. Quite astringent and exceptionally hot on the finish. Perhaps a little too spirity warm on the length to make it very enjoyable.
