Thursday, May 14, 2015 - Cloudy garnet color. Dazzling nose with smoky and flinty aromas, combined with the classic CVNE note of orange peel. The palate is similarly nuanced and multilayered, with the addition of spicy herbal flavors and dusty red fruit. With a bit of tannin remaining, I was surprised to find this lively and well-supported at age 30. Tasted against the 2001 Gran Reserva, this humble Cosecha outshone its noble sibling. Drink now, if you've any around.
