Monday, December 27, 2004 - Balanced, agreable nose with lots of black fruits, leather, milk chocolate (hint of vanilla and a lactic element), hint of spicy wood, some pepper and herbs. Complex palate with somewhat penetrating but nice acidity, lots of fruit, pepper, herbs, chocolate, ... the wood is already niceley integrated. While this will probably improve, I like it as it is now. It has still some bite of youth, but already has developed enough complexity for me. These notes are based on the first sip right after opening the bottle from a cold cellar. If need be, I'll report on its further development in the coming hours.
