Friday, November 11, 2011 - I am not so good at pointing out specific smells and flavors so forgive me. For me this wine is a remarkable expression of cabernet. 13.5% alcohol, almost unimaginably low in the modern age. Fragrant and floral like a great French wine without the funk that I find unappealing. Not syrupy, but still pure. It stands in a space between the modern greats and the classical French examples. For me this is pretty close to the pinnacle. Sorry I only had one.
