Saturday, May 28, 2022 - Method: blind; Grassl 1855
Look: pale+ garnet-maroon
Nose: balsamic, celery, brown sugar, rhubarb, dried strawberry
Palate: dried cherry, sun dried tomato, brown sugar; medium+ finish or rhubarb, dried parsley; dry; medium- body; medium- tannin that are nicely resolved but do accumulate a bit; medium, sour acidity
Overall thoughts: Enjoyable, with nice complexity but getting old and pretty tired. The acidity came off as decently sour, which wasn't great. Still, it's an enjoyable, good wine.
