Friday, September 3, 2010 - Nose: Massive Cherry & Blueberry Fruit that is rich and jammy. Notes of chocolate and sweet oak. Palate: Full Bodied and quite rich, but the tanins are more tame than in prior vintages. Blueberry, Blackberry and some Sage/Oak flavors. Finish: Moderate and somewhat intense, but not overblown. Black Cherry is distinctive. Alcohol not nearly as persistant as the 2006 vintage.

Had at The Woods Restaurant in Macinac Island, MI. Cold and rainy night, but the wine kept everyone warmer.
