Monday, April 18, 2022 - From 75cl, v. good cork. Decanted 1 hour. Generic, big-bodied, squeaky-clean, modern-style Rioja with good concentration, dark fruit, and not-quite resolved tannins. A pleasant but boring highly-polished new-wave Spanish wine, a terrible waste of new oak barriques, but you can't blame anyone for trying their best to make a silk purse out of the material available. I just wish I hadn't fallen for the hype and paid 50 EUR back in 2009. 87–88P
