Friday, September 27, 2019 - Tasted like a Brunello. Lots of ripe black cherry fruit, Tuscan earth, Asian spices along with some sandalwood in the background. Just enough acidity left to keep the wine feeling fresh and younger than its 12 years. Finish was smooth with integrated tannins. Wine is still in the peak drinking window, although I did notice some oxidative notes. Drink now - 2021.
