Monday, February 13, 2006 - Exotic spices, alcohol and black fruit on the nose. Fruity and spicy palate, with a lot of black fruit, but fresh, not cloying or overly sweet, supported by spices, liquorice, black coffee and kirsch. The wood is noticeable but not overbearing. Idem for the alcohol. Slightly peppery aftertaste. Needs some bottle age to integrate. The Laderas is more enjoyable now, but this is more complex and accomplished.
