Wednesday, January 28, 2015 - This wine was not the over the top, hugely overripe, hotly alcoholic, and candied sweet Grenache I was expecting from Clarendon Hills. Instead, dense and delicious red raspberry fruit filled the nose, mouth, and throat. that was delightfully framed by bright acidity and drying tannins. Much closer to top Grenache made in Spain and France, with superb purity and clarity of flavors, that also works well with food.
