Thursday, June 16, 2011 - I opened this bottle to celebrate CellarTracker passing the 25 MILLION BOTTLE milestone. Sheesh!
This NV was purchased 5 years ago so has a little age. Still tightly wound, this does show some of the bready Krug notes I would expect. A rather mineral and wound up palate, faint bitterness at first, mineral and saline. However after a few hours this started to get so creamy with notes of white chocolate, the first time I have ever really noted that on a wine.
Mmm, why exactly is the last glass always the best? Really delicious.
And on we march to 50 million bottles.
