Saturday, March 16, 2024 - Dark fruit, lots of sediment. Cork fully intact (unusual for these older Lewis Syrah). If you like older Syrah this is not past it, if anything still drinking young. Mostly big plummy fruit and black pepper, some savory gamey notes. Not as complex as I would have expected although have not had this exact vintage before (have had much older and younger) so just not that exciting for me. I didn’t rate because under the circumstances we were not paying close attention to the wine so it could just be me!!!
