Saturday, April 2, 2011 - Decanted an hour. Drank over another two. Deep ruby red in color. Fragrant nose of black fruit, smoky oak and meat. Complex on the palate with blackberries, black currant, black cherries up front. Additional notes of chocolate, cumin spice and mellow oak, maybe a bit of vanilla. Long finish with supple tannins. Plenty of life left for sure. (Celebrating family birthdays - April 2, 2011)
