Thursday, August 12, 2010 - The aroma is dark, rich, and earthy, with tons of chocolate and tobacco leaf tones. There are red and black fruits, combined with a somewhat buttery component at the core, and black currant and forest herbs on the spin.

Rich, smooth, and velvety, the palate is full of dark red plum and berry tones with exceptional cacao powder tannins. The mid palate opens up with some violets and moves into butter and cherries, finishing with the sensation of slightly burnt, blackberry scones. This is a decadent, jammy, and wonderfully complex wine, and a true pleasure to drink. A bargain at the price, this is absolutely a wine worth buying.
