Tuesday, October 12, 2010 - A stunningly good wine for $14. This 100% Carignane shows a unique nose of toasted coffee beans, new leather and some blackberry. Low acidity and some nice dark berry and plum elements on the nose with a slightly spicy note at midpalate. Very little tannic influence on the finish. Great both with and without food. I'll definitely add a few more bottles of this to the Italian rack of the cellar.
