Saturday, July 24, 2021 - Relax, sit back, and let CJ take you for a ride. The nose is berry intensive, both dark and red. The first sip is smooth and delicate, just a hint of structure in the distance. Raspberry, blackberry, tobacco. Wait a minute or two before your second sip and then a wonderful development of tannins creates a boldness that was absent from the first sip. This continues to build over the following 20 minutes or so until you realize that the sip you are taking now was nothing like the first. I realize some wines do this, but the CJ experience is wonderful. And for the price point, one of the best QPR I have had in a while.
