Monday, May 7, 2012 - Very dark golden color. Beautiful and complex nose of menthol, pine tar, golden raisins, almonds, grapefruit, white flowers and earth. A little bit of citrus on the attack which than transitions to a thick, rich stew of oxidative minerals but also thick rich fruit all balanced with light texture and prominent acids. A great food wine - went well with haddock, but also paired suprisingly well with some braised pork belly. A pleasure to drink, both intellectually and physically.
