Tuesday, August 28, 2018 - Odd experience right out of the gate - color was surprisingly pale straw after PnP though the nose seemed a bit more mature than expected (nutty, melon,..). Planning to use it for a tasting a couple hours later, I gave it a shot of Argon and stoppered it back up. When poured later, the earlier traits had reversed on me, the color was darker, now a light golden color while any traces of oxidation on nose or palate were gone. Nose of yellow orchard fruit and white flowers; good volume/density of flavors on palate, brisk acid and minerality at the forefront. Over 45 minutes or so, brown spices and those initial hints of roasted nuts return, not bothersome but instead adding nice complexity. Balanced; showing beautifully right now, can't see it getting much better!
