Wednesday, March 19, 2014 - Explosive right from the word go - the nose is intense, rich, flinty, toasty - compelling and powerful. On the palate the wine is huge, but not buttery or flabby. There is a well structured palate that has power but also definition. Fruits range from citrus to peach, very high quality oak is present , the acidity is prominent and overall the wine has great length and balance. It will last another 10 years at least....needs food at the moment.
