In the middle there was tropical fruit, citrus and a bit of butterscotch. It was somewhat awkward and probably needs at least six months to come together. It had a very long finish and barely lasted until the end of the meal – in our house this is a compliment. I don’t think this will be a long-term (5+ years) ager but is going to provide great near-term drinking. Try it with seafood or pasta with cream sauce as we did.
