Tuesday, January 10, 2012 - Decanted for about 90 minutes before having with grilled skirt steak. A lot of dark fruits (plum, blackberry) and coffee at first, along with quite a bit of oak. Really tough to judge this one now - thought it may have been a bit thin on the mid-palate, but the oak really makes it tough to get a read on the other flavors. A bit hot on the finish as well. Pretty good with the food, but a bit rough on its own at this point. These should continue to be held for at least a year.
