Wednesday, August 3, 2011 - Brownish-purple at the rim. Sort of a reddish garnet color; slight bricking. Aromas of raspberry, blackberry, flowers, smoke, leather, slight bacon fat (not big). Definite Cote Rotie characteristics. Fat and rich in the mouth. A long lingering, smoky finish. I think this wine is still evolving. Seems to have a few years left. Anyway, I'm not going to rush to consume the rest I have. Paired well with baked chicken, with some Cajun spices.
