Saturday, August 10, 2013 - Last consumed about nine months ago. Similar but just a tad more developed than last time, where I indicated: "browning at the rim and a dark reddish-ruby color. Complex aromas and flavors of blackberry, some sweetish black currant, lots of bacon fat, leather, roasted meat, herbs, spice and floral perfume." This time the bacon fat did not seen as dominant as last time, but still appreciable. "Powerful, rich, as well as smooth in the mouth. Nice structure and balance." A long finish where the leather and bacon fat components were noticeable. This wine has a lot more time left before it become fully mature, so I'll try to be in not so much of a rush to consume my last four bottles. Better said than done on that note though!
