Sunday, May 9, 2004 - A wine that definately outperforms it's village. Plenty of sweet satsuma plum and cherry fruit on the nose. The wine has a highly perfumed fruit character and if it wasn't for a bit of rusticity on the back end you might be tricked into thinking you're consuming something from further north (think Chambolle). The texture is plush and there is real sap and a hint of stewed rhubarb. Plenty of earth, tobacco and some pronounced tannin bring the wine to a savoury finish. Bloody good!
