Sunday, June 13, 2010 - Had a Chile tasting night and enjoyed a broad range of wines; the headliner with the Clos Apalta. I opened at 3pm and served at 8pm. It was very tight when I opened it but evolved nicely. Still very young but great potential. Extremely dark with black and blue fruit flavors. A hint of graphite and beautiful mouthfeel. I will open another in about 5 years. Tannins still have a grip though.
