Thursday, May 23, 2013 - Dark garnet, slight fade at rim. Very expressive nose of raspberry and cherry backed up with vanilla, pepper and allspice. Medium to full body, this has wonderful balance of fruit with tannin and acidity. An earthiness comes through on the long finish. Silky mouth feel, this is the iron fist in the velvet glove. Classic Pinot style, and becoming rarer among many Central Coast Pinots pursuing the Syrah-lovers style. Great value.
