Thursday, June 4, 2015 - This is quite a Burgundian-type of CdP.
The color has already a bit lightened. The nose is stunning, with aromas of smoke and tobacco, but also very refined ripe red fruits. The somehow sweet taste is quite similar: smoke, tobacco and dark berry flavors are prominent at first, while red fruits and berries are dominating later. The taste is full-bodied and intense, but there is also some lightness and tenderness on the palate, partly due to the fresh acidity. The taste is very long.
This was a great experience, and I think that the wine was also in a very good phase right now. I am sad that my one and only bottle has now been consumed.
