Tuesday, May 29, 2018 - "Southern Rhone" Offline (Mystic Room, SF): Highly aromatic, roses, cherry, a hint menthol; palate is light to medium bodied, still plenty of high but sweet tannins but approachable, super-smooth and fruit filled throughout, balanced medium alcohol, plenty of elegant red fruit; finish is medium-long. Just superbly balanced, fruit filled, excellent structure, wonderful Barolo, with very good complexity. Lovely wine, and still with time ahead of it. 95+
Day 2: Still drinkable and enjoyable, but lacks the complexity it had yesterday.
