Likes this wine:

Monday, April 6, 2015 - * Nose: Black currants, then leather, wood, some smoke. Later comes pencil led, prunes, dust and suddenly lots of vanilla.
*Taste & palate: Mature, sweet black currant and blueberry fruit. Medium rich body with a "slickness" typical of bottle ageing. Hints of burnt oak, but only a hint. Mature, rounded and slightly spicy, peppery tannins.
- Mature but surprisingly good and alive for this 16 YO Chilean CS. Reading earlier comments from around 10 years ago it seems that this, once probably over-oaked CS, has actually come around and reached some level of balance or harmony. It clearly has reached its peak but I think it might still drink well for another 1-3 years. After that, however... (I would not look forward to when it starts loosing much more of its fruit).
(Made from pre-phylloxera vines)
