Monday, January 30, 2012 - Dark ruby color.
Moderate aroma with some age: black cherry, prune, sarsaparilla, tobacco, oak.
All kinds of cherry on the palate: black, bing, red, sour, dried. Also tobacco, oak/vanilla, red currant jelly.
Lively acidity, firm tannins, medium-full bodied.
A well-balanced pleaser.
