Sunday, December 8, 2013 - I just edited this score- I had scored it a 94 but wrote this note after a 1 hour decant and before a further, longer decant. Thus, decant for top-end results. With plenty of air, additional flavor nuances came out and the wine gained more elegance as it softened. Layer upon layer of sour cherry with masculine notes of tobacco, leather and petrol. The complexity, if dissected, is incredible. This is an equivalent experience to enjoying your finest cigar. With 5-7 more years, this has the chance to be mindblowing.
