Saturday, October 18, 2008 - A Few from The Sorting Table (The Wine Club, San Francisco): Light tawny color. Surprisingly advanced on the nose, already extremely pretty with gentle fruit, dried flowers, and underbrush. Much more locked up on the palate-lean with light to medium body, not much fruit, and strong framing acids. I tasted this right out of the bottle and have to believe that its potential is better demonstrated by its beautiful Nebbiolo aromatics than the closed flavors. Will never be a sweet, lush wine though.
