Saturday, July 17, 2010 - For my birthday dinner, wanted a great bottle of wine. Opened this at 9:30am and then decanted at 5:30pm for dinner. Still tight. Finally opened up after another hour. Great nose and incredible concentration of flavors. Black currant, dark cherry, dark chocolate, truffle. Full bodied with a long finish. Good backbone of silkly tannins. This still has another 5-10 years development in the bottle before it reaches maturity. Wonderful wine.
