Friday, February 4, 2011 - Blind tasted against a Phelps cabernet Napa of the same vintage. Decanted 90min. Temperature of service : 15*C.
Dark color with orange borders. Nose of cherry and blueberry(with both the fruity and fresh acid herbal sides), light oak finish.
Mouth smooth, coffee and fresh black fruits and gentle sappy end. Integrated tannins. Elegant and fine wine but not huge.
I felt a Bordeaux style with a good proportion of Cabernet Franc, so answered Pomerol 1996, thinking it's a good year.
