Sunday, June 3, 2012 - After seeing RP's comments on the 2002 Napa tasting I remembered I had a couple bottles of this wine. RP commented it was close to perfection. Decanted and drank over about 5 hours. Took about 90min to get going. Reasonably fragrant nose of dark fruit, tobacco and leather on the nose. Seems very young. The palate matched the nose with flavors of dark fruits, plums, leather and a little earth. All primary flavors and full in the mouth and very silky. Definitely drank more like a Bordeaux than a CA Cab, but as others have said there is just something that lets you know it's from CA. Medium finish. A nice wine and I look forward to trying this again in a few years.
