Friday, October 30, 2020 - Of all the wines I’ve laid down, this lived up to the price and commitment of a decade and a half of storage. This had everything I could want. Fruit bomb, for sure, like a good new world wine. It also had a hint of eucalyptus like my favorite Rhône’s. Deep, layered fruit with sweet, soft tannins, perfectly controlled alcohol heat and depth for days. Perhaps my favorite wine in recent memory. EPIC.

11/19/2020 2:57:00 PM - Awesome!! I'm glad the wine lived up to the hype! I bought a bottle back in the day and have cellared it as well. I want to drink it soon. How long did you decant it, etc?

11/19/2020 3:17:00 PM - I don’t decant. I like to taste the wine at every moment from opening to dregs. It was great at every step, and probably peaked at 30 minutes after opening, though I didn’t mind it a little livelier at opening.
