Sunday, December 31, 2017 - Has matured quite a bit from 2012 which was the last year I tried this. Textbook Nebbiolo - opens with earth, mushroom and minerals with bright acidity, high tannins and tart cherry on the palette. Nose is very similar to an aged Pinot. Tight on opening - needed about an hour of air before she opened up a bit. Suggest pairing with heartier red meat.
