Monday, April 11, 2016 - Deep garnet color with a nose of red fruits, earth, and spice and white flowers.
On the palate, tart red fruits, orange rind and a hint of forest floor. While there's a nice density to the wine, there's plenty of acidity to keep things balanced. Tannins are unobtrusive and finish is medium.
My second go round with this wine in the last 8 months and it is a delicious bargain that still has many years of life left. It could probably use a bit more oomph in the mid-palate, but that's a quibble. This is a delicious wine at a bargain price that speaks very well of Oregon.
