Saturday, November 20, 2010 - Notes from day 2.
Medium gold in color.
The nose has shifted from the pineapple, cameron funk, cream, sea breeze to more of a lemon peel, hazelnut, marzipan, with a little turkish figs, with a touch of the funk today.
Palate has shifted as well day 1 was more a little tropical fruit, lots of hazelnuts, lemon, and cream, while today it is lemon cream, a little fig, hazelnut, a little cream and funk with acidity still present.
The mouthfeel of this wine is exceptional, as most of John Paul's wines are, really long finish too that reminds me of a sort of toasted almond paste that lasts close to a minute.
Really well made chardonnay that really hits my wheelhouse, 07 Oregon whites are fantastic, and this maybe the best I have had.
Really amazed me with the changes between day 1 and 2, great wine.
Drink or hold.
