Friday, May 9, 2014 - Sauvignon Blanc tasting (Riga): Wow, very light colour for a 25 y.o. SB! You can hardly tell it apart from 6 y.o Baron de L. Green hues. Some damp citrus on the nose, the dampness withers away with air, aroma is light, creamy, interesting. On the palate it was creamy, nuanced, some light toastiness may be.
No need to keep it that long, but if you do (in proper conditions), it will still be alive and kicking. (B+)

3/22/2021 12:49:00 PM - This sounds as if you got a btl from Rudy's less ambitous cousin: Ambrosius. No way that a real SB is pale after 25 years. No way!

4/4/2021 3:07:00 AM - I bought it from an auction. Actually I have had my fair share of older SB and some have been fairly light coloured and alive. They all develop a luminous tinge, which I find interesting as well.
