Thursday, October 31, 2013 - Fabulous nose of animal fur, old wood, roasted game and forest floor. Perfectly mature and still retaining a wonderful richness and intensity of flavor which reminded me of a wild, dark forest. Builds to a great, complex finish with notes of char, smoky game and fallen trees (using my imagination here!). Just a decadent, authentic bottle of wine that is unique and true to its terroir. Wow!
