Wednesday, September 29, 2010 - Medium red center with hints of garnet at the very rim. This is a polarizing wine for me, as I enjoyed the traditional old-style aged flavors of dried red fruit, leather, earth and spice (nutmeg?). However, the aroma of new-world american oak, which comes across as toasted coconut, is a bit heavy. Will revisit tomorrow.
