Saturday, August 10, 2013 - Over the course of about an hour this went from 1) still not great, but no more woodiness and much better than the bottle I had last year, to 2) pretty good, but not good enough for me to buy more to hold, to 3) really amazingly great, classic Rioja with deep, black leathery-tinged berry fruit, richly concentrated but still polished and suave--must get more. It's not as classy as the Imperial but it strikes a great balance between its rich fruit material and those streamlined, tertiary old-school Rioja flavors.
