Saturday, October 25, 2014 - From a regal magnum, well cellared. Leafy nose of birch, dried out leather and shoe polish. Palate of hickory, smoke, honey, grilled meat, chestnuts, and dried out red berries. Great for a grill party, but will be overpowered by whatever from the grill you throw at it. Tannins still lashing out after 12 years--what a bruiser of a small wine. Throwing up a depot that looks like salted human flesh. For advanced Burg drinkers.
