Saturday, March 28, 2015 - HDH Burgundy Auction (Chicago, IL): Sappy red and black fruit on the nose with a lot less of the earthy rusticity one might expect from a Pommard. This is a very big wine with a lot of ripe black fruit on the palate. It's very lush and just coats the palate. Coarser tannins, but that's really the only thing that gives a clue as to its terroir. Lots of fruit and structure, this ought to hold for a long, long time.
