Thursday, July 5, 2012 - Still a dark ruby color; clear. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, a little tar, some licorice, herbs, cigar box from the oak, spice. I did not get cola this time. Similar flavors, with obvious cherry, spice and black pepper. In the mouth, a rich and intense texture. Soft enough in the mouth, with the tannin being very slightly noticeable. Excellent balance. A long and spicy finish. Paired nicely with roasted chicken. Score 93-94.
