Friday, April 19, 2013 - Wine certainly undergoes a true metamorphosis as the temperature rises. Some more than others. This wine, straight out from the wine cellar is very clean and pure with medium length, still tight, some green peppercorns&herbs - the only thing betraying its californian origin might be the somewhat overextracted tannins. As it warms in the glass, a more soft-fruited vanilla sweet wine with mature edges and somewhat hollow mid-palate changes the impression quite a bit. I say serve this well below room temp.
